GMU MPH Program Coordinator

The Department of Global and Community Health at George Mason University (GMU) invites applications for a fulltime, 9 month, term (non-tenure) instructional faculty position to serve as the program coordinator for the Master of Public Health program, beginning January or August 2016.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the MPH degree program with emphasis upon supporting the development, launch, and management of all online academic degree and certificate programs.  In addition to their instructional assignment, the coordinator will oversee program marketing, student recruitment, admissions, advising, curriculum and program implementation and evaluation, and compliance with core competencies and accreditation standards required by the Council on Education for Public Health. 

The successful candidate will have a doctorate degree in a public health sciences-related discipline and an MPH from a Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited program.  We seek applicants with administrative, management, and leadership experience with CEPH accreditation; experience establishing academic partnerships with health-related agencies and organizations; experience teaching core graduate public health courses, and proficiency with teaching online public health courses.  The successful candidate should also have experience with program marketing, student recruitment, admissions, advising; experience with coordinating academic events and activities; an ability to build and maintain positive working relationships; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
